There is something special about the Sunshine Coast, much more laidback than the Gold Coast. Sunshine Coast is known for Surf, Sand, and beautiful landscapes. It is a favorite spot for not only family holidays but also romantic weekends away.

Sunshine Coast is also becoming known as a foodie’s paradise. Whether you after fresh produce, seafood, and meat. The Sunshine Coast has some of the best. With a huge mix of different styles.

Over the next few months, we are going to be showcasing some of our favorite dining destinations in Noosa. From the award-wining to the local’s favorite.

Today we are going to look at one of my favourite places to get a quick bite to eat.

Larder and Baked at Noosa Junction, located at 1/29 Sunshine Beach Road, Noosa Heads. Situated a couple of doors down from the cinemas next to Sandy Pages Bookstore.

Larder and Baked is my go-to cafe when I need to grab a bite to eat and I don’t have a huge amount of time. The meals arrive quickly and if you are really pushed for time they also do takeaway as well.

I would love to tell you all about their menu. As their slogan says, Fresh salad and baked fresh. The menu consists of healthy fresh choices, salads, eggs, coffee, juices, and kombucha.

But the first time I went I tried the Karage Chicken poke bowl and I have been hooked. I am slightly ashamed to say that I have never ordered anything else from the menu.

Over a dozen visits this year alone and each time I enjoy the amazing collection of flavours. Brown Rice, Edamame, red cabbage, Pickled ginger, Cucumber, Wakame, Wasabi Mayo, Radish, toasted Nori, Shoyu, and Fried Onion with Karage Chicken. A mixture of flavours and temperatures, all served perfectly presented with a set of chopsticks.

I have been assured by others that their banana bread is simply divine. Served with Grilled Pear, Burnt honey, and walnut butter. Other’s with me have had the Eggs Benny, Avocado, and Fetta on sourdough, and even thoroughly enjoyed the Potato Gnocchi. But for myself, I just can’t get past the combination of warm rice, and Karage chicken, with fresh refreshing cabbage cucumber, and radish.

Larder and Baked is open for Breakfast and Lunch, from 7am – 2:30pm each day.
