When we have family come up to visit us and they want to go somewhere amazing for dinner. Sum Yung guys is one of the first places we recommend.
Sum Yung Guys classes itself as Modern Asian Fusion, the menu is crafted to be shared, we always get a couple of small, medium and large plates to share, the best thing about it, is you get to try more of their amazing meals.
When we explain what Sum Yung Guys is the first thing that comes to mind is there ‘Roti bread’ I would go there for the Roti alone. It has the most amazing flavour, with just the right amount of crunch and texture.
Sum Yung Guys opened in June 2017. Run by four Sunshine Coast locals, 2016 Masterchef runner up Matt Sinclair, Dylan Campbell, Jeremiah Jones and Michael Rickard. It has quickly gained a cult following.
If you want to make a Booking you often have to to book three – four weeks in advance, they do have a couple of walk up spots at the bar if you are in a group of two people. We have managed to grab a couple of last minute dinner reservations that way as well.
Sum Yung guys got it start at a small space in Sunshine beach, but quickly outgrew its location so has now moved into 1/205 Weyba Rd, Noosaville
Open 12pm – 9pm daily.
If the meals look a bit fancy for you children, don’t worry, Sum yung guys also have a great kids menu.
$35 will get you
Chicken fried rice. (I would happily order myself a bowl it was amazing, just the right amount of flavours)
2 x Netted spring rolls
Bowl of sorbet – when we went their where two flavours – Lemon sorbet or a Condensed milk gelato (They call it Vanilla)
