George Bass Coastal Walk
George Bass Coastal Walk
Just out of San Remo at Punchbowl road is the picturesque George Bass Coastal Walk , stretching for 7kms this walk offers amazing views of the beautiful coastlines and as the name suggests follows George Bass’s route of exploration 200 years earlier.
We had the pleasure of walking on this track early in March on a beautiful and mild day, it was such a beautiful place to walk and unfortunately time run away form us and we where not able to come back and continue onto the Bass Coast Rail trail that starts at the end of the Coastal walk at Kilcundra and continues onto Wonthaggi.
The walk is 7kms and should take a person with average fitness about 2 hours. (One way) Or allow about 5 hours by the time you stop and look around Kilcundra, stop and get yourself a cool drink to enjoy at Kilcundra’s three main beaches, including a very popular surf beach if you are walking back as well.
